About the role
This is a great opportunity for a highly motivated and ambitious Sonographer with management experience to lead the Ultrasound service at Eastern Health. While based at Box Hill the role will require travel to our other campuses with Ultrasound at Maroondah and Angliss hospitals. As Associate Program Director you will have full carriage over the leadership and development of the Eastern Health Ultrasound service helping our teams achieve and ensuring the service meets the ever growing demand safely and effectively. Working as part of the Medical Imaging senior leadership team you will work closely with a supportive team to help ensure we are 'Healthier Together".
About you
To be successful in this role you will possess:
- Qualifications that would ensure eligibility for registration with the Australian Sonographer Accreditation Registry (ASAR)
- Current Registration with ASAR
- Drivers licence
- Experience managing people and governance in Ultrasound or Medical Imaging
- A thorough understanding of Ultrasound systems, their maintenance and their compliance requirements.
- Strong general computing skills and familiarity with hospital IT systems
Healthcare workers are strongly recommended to follow COVID vaccination recommendations provided in the Australian Immunisation handbook (based on ATAGI advice). Seasonal vaccination against influenza is a mandatory requirement of this role and an offer is conditional on this being up to date prior to employment.
