About the role

 

The Clinical Governance Partners report to the allocated Deputy Director, Clinical Governance through to the Director Clinical Governance, working in conjunction with the Senior Medical Advisor Clinical Governance. They provide leadership in developing a culture and capability for continuous improvement and ensuring a focus on patient quality and safety to achieve performance targets and organisational objectives of the directorates and programs.

 

About you 

 

To be successful in this role you will possess:

  • Knowledge of the National Safety and Quality standards and Industry Standards and legislation, demonstrated experience in implementing and sustaining a culture of safety and quality in health care setting and knowledge 
    • Graduate qualifications in a relevant discipline, health services management or other relevant qualification(s).
    • Experience in health care service
  • Experience in monitoring incident management systems
  • Experience in undertaking incident investigation using accepted methodologies 
  • Knowledge of clinical risk management
  • Demonstrated ability to engage clinical leaders in patient safety initiatives 
  • Demonstrated understanding of planning and continuous improvement of quality and safety
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills both written and verbal
  • Demonstrated ability to understand change and the dynamics of a large, complex health care
    organisation
  • Computer literacy and advanced skills in excel and data bases
  • Ability to prioritise competing demands and meet deadlines

 

Healthcare workers are strongly recommended to follow COVID vaccination recommendations provided in the Australian Immunisation handbook (based on ATAGI advice). Seasonal vaccination against influenza is a mandatory requirement of this role and an offer is conditional on this being up to date prior to employment.

Those that are offered and/or start between January and April do not require an up to date vaccination for Influenza to progress providing they are aware of its requirement later in the year. Those that are offered and/or start between May and December require the up to date Influenza vaccination prior to offer.
