About the Role
The Clinical Nurse Educator – Interdisciplinary Resuscitation Trainer is responsible for the provision of resuscitation training across Eastern Health, with particular emphasis on Basic Life Support (BLS). This position is one of clinical leadership, where you will work collaboratively with key interdisciplinary stakeholders to identify training gaps and implement innovative training solutions to meet organisational Key Performance Indicators (KPIs). Through this position, you will participate in strategic planning and development activities that focus on optimising patient experiences and outcomes and empowering the workforce with the confidence and competence to effectively respond to patient deterioration, while promoting and facilitating: training, education, research, evidence based-knowledge translation and positive workplace culture.
About You
To be successful in this role you will possess:
- Current Nursing & Midwifery Board of Australia (NMBA) registration with AHPRA
- Postgraduate qualification in a relevant field (essential) e.g. critical care, education, advanced clinical nursing
- Advanced life support certification (desirable)
- Experience in the delivery of interdisciplinary education and training
- Highly developed interpersonal and leadership skills
- A strong commitment to high quality, evidence-based care
- The ability to work both autonomously and as part of a diverse team
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- High level of IT/digital literacy
Healthcare workers are strongly recommended to follow COVID vaccination recommendations provided in the Australian Immunisation handbook (based on ATAGI advice). Seasonal vaccination against influenza is a mandatory requirement of this role and an offer is conditional on this being up to date prior to employment.
