Clinical Nurse Educator - Transition to Practice Program

 

  • 1.0 EFT Limited Term Full Time (Parental Leave cover)
  • 13th January 2025 until 30th November 2025

About the role
Join our dynamic interprofessional team supporting over 250 learners across Eastern Health, with a particular focus on learners during their general nursing rotations.

 

The Eastern Health Transition to Practice (Graduate) Clinical Nurse Educator is responsible for the delivery of the Transition to Practice program requirements across all Eastern Health sites. 

 

The program delivery encompasses, marketing, bulk intake recruitment, supporting learner health, wellbeing and performance, liaising with graduate representative group, planning, delivery and evaluation of formal profession specific and interprofessional study day programs, monitoring of program requirements and planning rotations of learners across the health service.

 

About you 
To be successful in this role you will possess:

 

Essential 

  • Condition free AHPRA registration
  • Clinical experience with education programs including experience in clinical practice supervision of learners (students, graduates)
  •  Demonstrated leadership with the ability to inspire, influence and motivate staff and to contribute to and foster a positive learning culture
  •  Demonstrated organisational and planning skills with strong attention to detail
  •  Advanced interpersonal skills, including oral and written communication, leadership and conflict management, in order to facilitate effective team functioning
  •  Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite

Desirable

  • Relevant postgraduate qualification to profession
  • Leadership / participation in education and research
  • Experience with recruitment of novice learners using values based recruitment
  • Certificate IV in Training and Assessment
  • Experience in interprofessional education


Vaccination against infectious disease is a mandatory requirement of this role.  An offer of employment is conditional on you providing evidence that you are currently vaccinated against COVID-19 with booster & Influenza, prior to commencing employment.
