About the role

 

An outstanding opportunity to join the Eastern Health senior leadership team. The Clinical Program Director will lead and develop the Women and Children Program at Eastern Health, particularly at a strategic and Health Service wide co-ordination level.  The successful candidate will demonstrate ongoing excellence in administration, teaching and research, and provide an environment for staff development and excellent patient care.

 

About you 


To be successful in this role you will possess:

 

  • Candidates must be registered as a medical practitioner with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency in the state of Victoria.

  • Experience in and commitment to leadership in the provision of high-quality services

  • Demonstrated experience in planning and execution of major change in complex healthcare environments

  • Clinical capability as evidenced by clinical practice or involvement in the conduct of clinical trials, and experience working in a hospital

  • A demonstrated ability to generate research income is preferred, including from both traditional and more innovative sources of research funding;

  • The ability to make a significant contribution to the postgraduate training program

  • An outstanding record in teaching at a postgraduate level;

  • Mentoring of postgraduate research students;

  • Excellent organisational and communication skills;

  • Proven professional leadership qualities and capacity for executive administrative responsibilities.

 

Healthcare workers are strongly recommended to follow COVID vaccination recommendations provided in the Australian Immunisation handbook (based on ATAGI advice). Seasonal vaccination against influenza is a mandatory requirement of this role and an offer is conditional on this being up to date prior to employment.
