About the role
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Dietitian to join our team at Box Hill Hospital in a full-time fixed-term position (maternity leave cover until March 2027). This role offers the opportunity to contribute to high-quality patient care within ICU.
As a site senior, you will provide clinical leadership and support to the Dietetics team, ensuring excellence in nutritional care and service delivery. This position is ideal for a Dietitian looking to take the next step in their career, with opportunities for professional growth and development within a supportive and collaborative department.
You will be part of the Eastern Health Dietetics Department, which provides direct service and nutritional management across all Eastern Health sites. The Department is dedicated to meeting the nutritional and dietary needs of all inpatients, outpatients, and ambulatory care patients through comprehensive assessment, tailored diet provision, ongoing monitoring, discharge planning, and patient and carer education.

About you
To be successful in this role you will possess:
Qualifications
- Eligible for membership of Dietitians Australia and the Accredited Practising Dietitian Program.
- Participation in Accredited Practising Dietitian program of DA, or ability to demonstrate that equivalence to APD requirements are maintained on an annual basis.
Essential
- Minimum of seven years' practical experience in the field of nutrition and dietetics.
- Extensive clinical experience.
- Experience in supervision of staff and students.
- Demonstrated clinical expertise and leadership and particular specialist knowledge in a recognised clinical area, ideally critical care.
- Demonstrated ability to undertake professional supervision and promote professional competence of other dietetic staff.
- Demonstrated dietetic research and quality improvement skills including a strategic approach to planning and development, data analysis and project management.
- High level of communication and interpersonal skills that promote teamwork and a proven ability to relate effectively to people at all levels in the organisation.
- High level written skills with demonstrated ability in policy and procedure development and implementation, and submission writing.
Healthcare workers are strongly recommended to follow COVID vaccination recommendations provided in the Australian Immunisation handbook (based on ATAGI advice). Seasonal vaccination against influenza is a mandatory requirement of this role and an offer is conditional on this being up to date prior to employment.
