About the role
This is a great opportunity for an Enrolled Nurse to work with a dynamic multidisciplinary team of nurses, anesthetists, surgical HMO and allied health staff. This position is to cover for Long Service Leave for a period of 5 months from late March until the end of August 2026.
In Preadmission clinic you will be involved in assessment, education and patient optimization to prepare patients for their planned surgery and help prevent day of surgery cancellations.
About you
To be successful in this role you will possess:
- Surgical experience is essential
- Current Nursing registration with AHPRA
- Highly developed interpersonal and leadership skills
- A strong commitment to high quality care
- The ability to work as part of a diverse team
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
Healthcare workers are strongly recommended to follow COVID vaccination recommendations provided in the Australian Immunisation handbook (based on ATAGI advice). Seasonal vaccination against influenza is a mandatory requirement of this role and an offer is conditional on this being up to date prior to employment.
