About the team
As a member of the Gastroenterology team, you will be part of a highly dedicated multi-disciplinary team incorporating medical, nursing, clerical and allied health professionals. The Role
An exciting opportunity exists for joining the Gastroenterology Clinical Nurse Consultant (CNC) team as an Enteral Therapist (ET).
The ET CNC will work as part of the Gastroenterology CNC team to provide care for patients requiring Enteral Therapy. This includes, but is not limited to:
- The telephone advice line
- Clinics
- In-patient support and education
- Liaising with the multidisciplinary team involved in the care of patients
About you
To be successful in this role you will possess:
- Registered Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia via AHPRA
- Minimum 5 years post registration experience in acute nursing
- Experience in Gastroenterology nursing desirable
- Excellent organisational and time management skills
- Evidence of commitment to excellence in management of patients with chronic disease
- Demonstrated excellent interpersonal skills and problem-solving ability.
Healthcare workers are strongly recommended to follow COVID vaccination recommendations provided in the Australian Immunisation handbook (based on ATAGI advice). Seasonal vaccination against influenza is a mandatory requirement of this role and an offer is conditional on this being up to date prior to employment.
Those that are offered and/or start between January and April do not require an up to date vaccination for Influenza to progress providing they are aware of its requirement later in the year. Those that are offered and/or start between May and December require the up to date Influenza vaccination prior to offer.
