About the role
Are you an engaging individual, looking for a challenging administrative role with some autonomy?
An exciting opportunity exists for a motivated person with high attention to detail to work with our Freedom of Information (FOI)/ Information Release Service. The FOI Officer role involves reviewing, assessing and making decisions relating to the release of medical records in accordance with the FOI Act.
About you
The successful candidate will require proficient planning and organisational skills, a commitment to continued service improvement and could work with all levels of staff from Eastern Health and outside agencies. Demonstration of good interpersonal and verbal and written communication skills is essential.
Desirable:
Previous experience in processing Freedom of Information requests or experience in high level administrative duties is desirable.

Healthcare workers are strongly recommended to follow COVID vaccination recommendations provided in the Australian Immunisation handbook (based on ATAGI advice). Seasonal vaccination against influenza is a mandatory requirement of this role and an offer is conditional on this being up to date prior to employment.
Those that are offered and/or start between January and April do not require an up to date vaccination for Influenza to progress providing they are aware of its requirement later in the year. Those that are offered and/or start between May and December require the up to date Influenza vaccination prior to offer.
