About the role
- To provide excellant clinical care for Eastern Health surgical patients
- To provide leadership for junior medical staff and other clinical staff
- To support the hospitals teaching, research and clinical governance programs.
- This position is primarily to staff a newly created acute general surgical service based at Box Hill Hospital
- Successful applicants will be expected to provide oncall availability the evening and night before a dedicated AM operating session at Box Hill with fortnightly frequency.
- There will be opportunity to take up other clinical sessions (Theatre/Outpatient clinic) within the network
About you
To be successful in this role you will possess:
- Current Specialist registration with AHPRA
- Post Graduate qualifications in General Surgery
- Highly developed interpersonal and leadership experience
- A strong commitment to high quality care
- The ability to work as part of a diverse team
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
Vaccination against infectious disease is a mandatory requirement of this role. An offer of employment is conditional on you providing evidence that you are currently vaccinated against COVID-19 with booster & Influenza, prior to commencing employment.
