About the role

Acute Medicine is a large clinical service that delivers vast volumes of services in the inpatient and ambulatory settings, and adapts constantly to serve prevailing community needs. Successful candidates will provide leadership in the delivery of clinical care.

 

About you 
To be successful in this role you will possess:

  • Registration with AHPRA as a medical practitioner in the Australian state of Victoria
  • Significant clinical experience in the area of general and acute care medicine, and chronic and complex care
  • Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians
  • The capacity to deliver care in the hospital (all EH campuses) and in the ambulatory setting
  • A track record of excellence in practice and teaching of internal medicine, along with innovation and collaboration
  • The ability to lead teams through change and continuous improvement cycles
  • A current drivers licence
  • Excellent interpersonal and empathy skills
  • Familiarity with clinical information and data management systems
  • Achievement in research and teaching as demonstrated by published work in relevant disciplines, and record of teaching
  • A vision and commitment to excellence in research and education in General and Acute Care Medicine
  • Exceptional organisation skills


Vaccination against infectious disease is a mandatory requirement of this role.  An offer of employment is conditional on you providing evidence that you are currently vaccinated against COVID-19 with booster & Influenza, prior to commencing employment.
