About the Role
Our Graduate Enrolled Nurse Program (General Nursing) is progressive, responsive and innovative. We use the latest evidence to develop our program study days together with regular feedback from our learners. We support and facilitate the development of a well prepared, high quality, safe nursing and midwifery workforce committed to improving health outcomes.
Our Learning and Teaching team and clinical staff provide a supportive environment that encourages the development of clinical skills, reflective practice and a sense of professional identity and accountability.
As a Graduate EN you will be a key participant and contributor to change and innovation and we invite you to join us for an exciting year and future with Eastern Health.
Rotations:
- Residential aged care (murrenda) (6 months)
- Continuing Care (all Eastern Health sites) (6 months)
- Optional third rotation: Accepting expressions of interest for acute rotations (+6 months, 18 month program total)
About You
To be successful in this role you will possess:
- Qualifications in Enrolled Nursing
- Current, condition-free, nursing registration with AHPRA
- Developed interpersonal skills
- A strong commitment to high quality care
- The ability to work as part of a diverse team
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
Healthcare workers are strongly recommended to follow COVID vaccination recommendations provided in the Australian Immunisation handbook (based on ATAGI advice). Seasonal vaccination against influenza is a mandatory requirement of this role and an offer is conditional on this being up to date prior to employment.
