About the role

Outstanding opportunity to join Eastern Health as a Site-based Lead Maintenance Manager.  We are seeking applications for Lead Maintenance Managers which will be site based, there are 3 roles available.  The Lead Maintenance Manager is responsible for managing the day-to-day engineering and facilities operations at their assigned site/s.  These roles will ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, optimise building systems performance and will support the strategic objectives of the organisation's infrastructure and maintenance programs.

 

These roles are critical for maintaining a safe, reliable and efficient environment for patients, staff and visitors while ensuring alignment with broader organisational goals.

 

About you 

To be successful in this role you will possess:

  • Bachelor's degree or advanced trade qualification in Engineering or a related health field
  • Proven experience in facilities management within a healthcare or complex organisational environment
  • Strong knowledge of building systems, compliance standards, and OHS legislation
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and manage multidisciplinary teams
  • Strong problem solving and decision-making skills, particularly in high pressure situations
  • The ability to work as part of a diverse team
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills

 

Healthcare workers are strongly recommended to follow COVID vaccination recommendations provided in the Australian Immunisation handbook (based on ATAGI advice). Seasonal vaccination against influenza is a mandatory requirement of this role and an offer is conditional on this being up to date prior to employment.
