About the role
Engineering and Facilities manager is responsible for the strategic and operational leadership of engineering and facilities management across the organisation’s diverse portfolio. The role ensures the delivery of safe, sustainable, and compliant infrastructure to support high-quality healthcare delivery across a wide geographic region.
About you
To be successful in this role you will possess:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (e.g., Mechanical, Electrical, Civil) or a related field, with eligibility for professional registration (e.g., Engineers Australia).Extensive experience in engineering and facilities management within the healthcare or similar complex environment.
- Proven leadership capability, including the ability to manage multidisciplinary teams across multiple sites.
- Strong knowledge of compliance requirements, including Australian building codes, healthcare facility standards, and OHS legislation.
- Demonstrated experience in strategic planning, project management, and budget oversight.
- Expertise in sustainability initiatives and energy efficiency programs in large-scale facilities.
- Exceptional communication and stakeholder engagement skills, including the ability to influence at an executive level.
- Proven ability to manage risks and respond effectively to facility-related emergencies.
Healthcare workers are strongly recommended to follow COVID vaccination recommendations provided in the Australian Immunisation handbook (based on ATAGI advice). Seasonal vaccination against influenza is a mandatory requirement of this role and an offer is conditional on this being up to date prior to employment.
