About the role
As the Medical Imaging Informatics Manager, you will lead the strategic and operational management of Imaging IT systems across Imaging at Eastern Health, supporting a high-volume, multi-site service. You will oversee RIS and PACS performance, drive system optimisation and digital innovation while leading a specialist team to ensure reliable, secure and efficient clinical systems that support patient care and service delivery across all Eastern Health Medical Imaging sites.
About you
You are an experienced leader with a strong background in medical imaging informatics, health IT, or a related field. You bring advanced knowledge of RIS/PACS systems, integrations (e.g. DICOM, HL7, EMR) and a proven ability to manage stakeholders, lead teams, and deliver system improvements in complex healthcare environments.
To be successful in this role you will possess:
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in Medical Radiation Science, Health Information Management, IT, or similar
- Proven experience and capacity in the management and leadership of teams
- Understanding and familiarity with Medical Imaging and BCP processes
- Demonstrated experience and advanced knowledge in the management and maintenance of PACS (Picture Achieving and Communication System) systems and RIS (Radiology Information System) as well as experience with DICOM, HL7, Rhapsody and EMR
- Experience working with clinical systems in a healthcare setting and managing system incidents or upgrades
- Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement and problem-solving skills
- Compliance with current immunisation requirements
- Full drivers licence
Healthcare workers are strongly recommended to follow COVID vaccination recommendations provided in the Australian Immunisation handbook (based on ATAGI advice). Seasonal vaccination against influenza is a mandatory requirement of this role and an offer is conditional on this being up to date prior to employment.
Those that are offered and/or start between January and April do not require an up to date vaccination for Influenza to progress providing they are aware of its requirement later in the year. Those that are offered and/or start between May and December require the up to date Influenza vaccination prior to offer.
