About the role
An exciting opportunity is available for an enthusiastic and skilled Occupational Therapist to join Eastern Health, working with an acute inpatient population on the general medical and surgery wards with our supportive team at the Angliss Hospital. This position will be involved in providing occupational therapy assessment and interventions with this varied and interesting caseload, while supporting efficient discharge planning, . The successful applicant will be involved in supervising staff and students and will work closely with the allied health team to provide excellent patient care. Applicants must be able to work Tuesdays and Wednesdays.
About you
To be successful in this role you will possess:
- AHPRA Registration
- Demonstrated clinical experience in acute occupational therapy
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- A strong commitment to high quality, values based care
- Strong commitment to interdisciplinary teamwork and client centered practice
Healthcare workers are strongly recommended to follow COVID vaccination recommendations provided in the Australian Immunisation handbook (based on ATAGI advice). Seasonal vaccination against influenza is a mandatory requirement of this role and an offer is conditional on this being up to date prior to employment.
