About the role 

Do you strive for excellence in Occupational Therapy and take pride in delivering outstanding clinical care? Are you ready to step into a leadership role that champions evidence‑based practice, drives clinical research, and shapes the future of service quality and program evaluation? 

This Grade 4 Occupational Therapy position offers a unique opportunity to influence and elevate practice across Eastern Health. Working in close collaboration with the Director of Occupational Therapy, Occupational Therapy Managers, fellow Grade 4 Clinical Leads and dedicated OT staff, you will play a pivotal role in guiding clinical direction and implementing innovative service delivery initiatives. This role will have a particular focus on acute Occupational Therapy and will work across Eastern Health sites, providing the chance to contribute meaningfully within a dynamic and fast‑paced environment. 

The successful candidate will bring advanced clinical expertise, lead high‑impact quality and research projects, support operational demands as required, and contribute to the growth and development of the Occupational Therapy workforce. About you  

To be successful in this role you will possess:  

  • Current Occupational Therapy registration with AHPRA  
  • Postgraduate studies in Occupational Therapy, Public Health, Research or Management  
  • Recognition as a clinical expert in acute physical health occupational therapy  
  • Well-developed leadership, supervisory and team development skills  
  • Demonstrated ability to plan, develop and implement service delivery initiatives and clinical research  
  • Highly developed communication skills  
  • Strong commitment to interdisciplinary teamwork  
  • Strong stakeholder engagement skills 
  • Strong organisation and self-management skills  
  • Autonomy in work practice   

 

Healthcare workers are strongly recommended to follow COVID vaccination recommendations provided in the Australian Immunisation handbook (based on ATAGI advice). Seasonal vaccination against influenza is a mandatory requirement of this role and an offer is conditional on this being up to date prior to employment.
