About the role
An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced administrative professional to join the Eastern Health team at Box Hill Hospital on a permanent, full-time basis.
We are seeking an agile, responsive and highly organised administration professional to provide high-level executive support to the Deputy Director Operations - ICU & Cardiology/Director of Nursing Box Hill Hospital, Deputy Director Operations - Cancer Services, Deputy Director Operations - Surgery Box Hill Hospital and Deputy Director Operations - Acute Specialist Clinics.
In this dynamic and fast-paced position, you will act as a central point of coordination, ensuring seamless administrative support across multiple portfolios. You will manage complex calendars, prepare documentation, support governance activities, and communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
This role requires someone who thrives on variety, demonstrates initiative, and approaches all tasks with professionalism and attention to detail.
About you
To be successful in this role you will possess:
- Highly organised with excellent time-management capabilities
- Adaptable and comfortable managing competing priorities
- Skilled in communication and stakeholder engagement
- Confident in working both independently and as part of a broader team
- Experienced in executive-level administrative or PA roles (healthcare experience desirable)
- Demonstrates strong interpersonal capability
- Provides confident, professional support across senior leadership functions
- Effective contributions within diverse teams
- Excellent communication and organisational abilities
Healthcare workers are strongly recommended to follow COVID vaccination recommendations provided in the Australian Immunisation handbook (based on ATAGI advice). Seasonal vaccination against influenza is a mandatory requirement of this role and an offer is conditional on this being up to date prior to employment.
