About the role
Do you like variety in your work but still want to develop your clinical skills in your chosen area of General Medical and General Surgical Physiotherapy?
This is a Grade 2 Physiotherapy General Medical/General Surgical position as part of our new Workforce Support Program (WoSP). This team will support caseload management behind annual leave within clinical stream areas. This is an opportunity to further develop your clinical skills in your chosen area across a variety of settings at Eastern Health. You will gain exposure to various teams and clinicians whilst supported by Grade 3 Physiotherapists within the WoSP team as well as clinical lead grade 4s across the network. You will have opportunity to undertake student and grade 1 supervision as well as be a part of this dynamic team from the outset.
About you
To be successful in this role you will possess:
- Recognised tertiary qualification in Physiotherapy
- Current registration with Physiotherapy Board of Australia (AHPRA)
- Demonstrated skills in physiotherapy management of General Medical and General Surgical caseloads
- Ability to meet all the requirements as outlined in the position description roles and responsibilities
- A strong commitment to high quality care
- The ability to work as part of a diverse team
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
Healthcare workers are strongly recommended to follow COVID vaccination recommendations provided in the Australian Immunisation handbook (based on ATAGI advice). Seasonal vaccination against influenza is a mandatory requirement of this role and an offer is conditional on this being up to date prior to employment.
