About the role
As the Grade 2 Physiotherapist, you will deliver high-quality, evidence-based physiotherapy services within a specialised area of practice, using your advanced clinical knowledge and experience to support consumers with chronic and complex health conditions. You will act as a clinical resource for colleagues, contribute to staff education and training, and support the delivery of best-practice care.
You will work both independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team, providing assessment, treatment, and care planning while contributing to research, quality improvement, and professional development activities. The role also includes supervising students and supporting the development of junior physiotherapy staff.
You will continually build your clinical expertise and, when required, provide leadership and support to the physiotherapy team, including during periods of senior staff absence. This position may involve working across a range of Eastern Health sites.
About you
To be successful in this role you will possess:
- Recognised tertiary qualification in Physiotherapy and current registration with the Physiotherapy Board of Australia.
- Eligibility for practicing membership of the Australian Physiotherapy Association.
- Demonstrate recent experience managing a diverse workload in a range of clinical areas including cardiorespiratory and/or aged and complex care within bed based or community environments.
- Advanced clinical skills in managing a complex caseload and comprehensive discharge planning using a client-centred approach.
- Current Victorian Drivers Licence.
Healthcare workers are strongly recommended to follow COVID vaccination recommendations provided in the Australian Immunisation handbook (based on ATAGI advice). Seasonal vaccination against influenza is a mandatory requirement of this role, and an offer is conditional on this being up to date prior to employment.
