About the role

This is an exciting opportunity to join our Acute Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy Outpatient Service in a permanent position. You will provide assessment and treatment for patients referred from Orthopaedic Specialist Clinics, acute orthopaedic inpatient services following hospital admission, and the Emergency Department. Working alongside an experienced team of musculoskeletal physiotherapists, you will contribute to delivering high-quality, patient-centred care while benefiting from clinical supervision, professional support and opportunities to be involved in service improvement initiatives that enhance patient outcomes and experiences.

About you

To be successful in this role you will possess:

• Recognised physiotherapy qualification and current registration with AHPRA.

• Significant clinical experience in physiotherapy management of acute musculoskeletal conditions and orthopaedic rehabilitation (both non-operative and post-operative).   

• A strong commitment to high-quality care.

• Excellent organisational and communication skills.

Desirable:    

• Relevant post graduate qualification completed, commenced or demonstrated intention to commence.

• Previous experience as a Grade 2 Physiotherapist.
• Participation in effective supervision of Grade 1 Physiotherapists and/or undergraduate students.

Healthcare workers are strongly recommended to follow COVID vaccination recommendations provided in the Australian Immunisation handbook (based on ATAGI advice). Seasonal vaccination against influenza is a mandatory requirement of this role, and an offer is conditional on this being up to date prior to employment.
