About the role

As a Grade 2 Podiatrist you will be responsible for the provision of therapy services utilising special knowledge and depth of experience. A Grade 2 Podiatrist is expected to supervise students and supervise and mentor junior staff members. The Grade 2 Podiatrist is able to work independently whilst at the same time contributing strongly to the multidisciplinary healthcare team, and is expected to initiate and participate in teaching, training, research and quality activities. The Grade 2 Podiatrist will also be able to represent their discipline as requested by their manager. 

 

About you 

To be successful in this role you will possess:

  • Recognised tertiary qualification in Podiatry.  
  • Current registration with the Podiatry Board of Australia.  
  •  Eligibility for membership of Australian Podiatry Association Ltd.  
  • Demonstrated high level clinical skills and commitment to evidenced based practice.  
  • Demonstrated commitment to person centre care.  
  • Demonstrated capacity to work and show leadership in a multidisciplinary team.  
  • Demonstrated experience in supervision of students.  
  • Demonstrated ability to introduce innovative practice.  
  • Commitment to improving own practice and undertaking quality and research activities.  
  • Willingness to work across all Eastern Health Sites. 

Healthcare workers are strongly recommended to follow COVID vaccination recommendations provided in the Australian Immunisation handbook (based on ATAGI advice). Seasonal vaccination against influenza is a mandatory requirement of this role and an offer is conditional on this being up to date prior to employment.
