About the Mental Health and Wellbeing Program
The Eastern Health Mental Health and State-wide Services offer comprehensive, coordinated Mental Health and Alcohol and Drug Services across all age groups in the Eastern region of Melbourne, covering an estimated population of 820,000 people. These publicly funded services include adult, aged, child & adolescent, as well as state-wide specialist services in personality disorder (Spectrum) and drug and alcohol treatment (including Turning Point Alcohol & Drug Centre).
Eastern Health operates from many different locations; our largest sites include Angliss Hospital, Box Hill Hospital, Healesville and District Hospital, Maroondah Hospital, Peter James Centre, Turning Point Alcohol and Drug Centre, Wantirna Health, Yarra Ranges Health, Yarra Valley Community Health.
About the role
The 2027 Advanced Trainee Registrar - Consultation-Liaison Psychiatry position offers advanced training in the assessment and management of psychiatric presentations within acute medical and surgical hospital settings. Working as part of a multidisciplinary Consultation-Liaison Psychiatry team, you will support patients experiencing complex mental health and medical comorbidities.
Our comprehensive training program addresses all the requirements of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists. Trainees benefit from Eastern Health's highly regarded academic and examination preparation program, alongside opportunities to participate in research in a wide variety of subjects.
What you’ll bring
- Current registration as a Medical Practitioner with AHPRA
- Current RANZCP trainee with Stage 2 training completed prior to commencing the role
- A strong commitment to high-quality care
