About the role

An exciting opportunity is available for a skilled and passionate occupational therapist with clinical expertise acute orthopaedics and surgery to join our occupational therapy team. This position will work across Box Hill and Maroondah Hospital. The position will be involved in providing direct clinical care, supporting complex decision making and efficient discharge planning to enhance patient flow. The successful applicant will also be involved in providing leadership, high quality supervision to foster staff development and ensure provision of evidence based occupational therapy services. The Eastern Health occupational therapy service is supported by the manager and grade 4 clinical lead occupational therapists. 

 

About you 

To be successful in this role you will possess:

  • Current occupational therapy registration with AHPRA  
  • Demonstrated clinical expertise in acute orthopaedics and surgery 
  • Highly developed interpersonal and leadership experience 
  • A strong commitment to high quality care 
  • The ability to work as part of a diverse team 
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills

Healthcare workers are strongly recommended to follow COVID vaccination recommendations provided in the Australian Immunisation handbook (based on ATAGI advice).
