About the role
A position has become available within the Eastern Health dietetics team for a Grade 3 Senior Dietitian, with broad-ranging clinical experience, including eating disorders. The successful applicant will work as directed, as part of the team of dietitians providing service to Eastern Health primarily at Box Hill Hospital, but there may be a need/opportunity for travel to other Eastern Health sites. This is an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic person to join the Dietetics leadership team at Eastern Health. Our team is made up of Dietitians working in multidisciplinary teams across the Continuum of Care in Acute, Sub-acute, Ambulatory and Residential Aged Care settings. We have a strong commitment to evidence-based practice and research, mentoring and staff support through regular clinical supervision and ongoing professional development.
About you
To be successful in this role you will possess:
QUALIFICATIONS
· Eligible for membership of Dietitians Australia and the Accredited Practising Dietitian Program.
· Participation in Accredited Practising Dietitian program of DA or ability to demonstrate that equivalence to APD requirements are maintained on an annual basis.
Essential
· Minimum of seven years practical experience in the field of nutrition and dietetics.
· Extensive clinical experience in the nutritional management of patients with eating disorders
· Experience in supervision of staff and students.
· Demonstrated clinical expertise and leadership and specialist knowledge in eating disorders.
· Demonstrated ability to undertake professional supervision and promote professional competence of other dietetic staff.
· Demonstrated dietetic research and quality improvement skills including a strategic approach to planning and development, data analysis and project management.
· High level of communication and interpersonal skills that promote team-work and a proven ability to relate effectively to people at all levels in the organisation.
· High level written skills with demonstrated ability in policy and procedure development and implementation, and submission writing.
Healthcare workers are strongly recommended to follow COVID vaccination recommendations provided in the Australian Immunisation handbook (based on ATAGI advice). Seasonal vaccination against influenza is a mandatory requirement of this role and an offer is conditional on this being up to date prior to employment.
