About the role
A position has become available within the Eastern Health dietetics team for a Grade 3 Senior Dietitian, with broad-ranging clinical experience. This position provides clinical cover to adult inpatients admitted for acute eating disorder management at Box Hill Hospital (two days per week), and critical care management at Angliss Hospital (two days per week). The successful applicant will work as directed, as part of the team of dietitians providing service at Eastern Health, and there may be a need/opportunity for travel to other Eastern Health sites. This is an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic person to join the Dietetics leadership team at Eastern Health. Our team is made up of Dietitians working in multidisciplinary teams across the Continuum of Care in Acute, Sub-acute, Care At Home and Residential Aged Care settings. We have a strong commitment to evidence-based practice and research, mentoring and staff support through regular clinical supervision and ongoing professional development.

About you
To be successful in this role you will possess:

Minimum of seven years practical experience in the field of nutrition and dietetics

Extensive clinical experience
-
Experience in supervision of staff and students
-
Demonstrated clinical expertise and leadership and particular specialist knowledge in a recognised clinical area (adult eating disorders and/or critical care)

Demonstrated ability to undertake professional supervision and promote professional competence of other dietetic staff
-
Demonstrated dietetic research and quality improvement skills including a strategic approach to planning and development, data analysis and project management

High level of communication and interpersonal skills that promote team-work and a proven ability to relate effectively to people at all levels in the organisation

High level written skills with demonstrated ability in policy and procedure development and implementation, and submission writing
Healthcare workers are strongly recommended to follow COVID vaccination recommendations provided in the Australian Immunisation handbook (based on ATAGI advice). Seasonal vaccination against influenza is a mandatory requirement of this role and an offer is conditional on this being up to date prior to employment.
Those that are offered and/or start between January and April do not require an up to date vaccination for Influenza to progress providing they are aware of its requirement later in the year. Those that are offered and/or start between May and December require the up to date Influenza vaccination prior to offer.
