About the role

The Medical Workforce Unit provides vital support and guidance to Clinical Directors and oversees recruitment and onboarding for all senior medical staff at Eastern Health.

About you 

To be successful in this role you will possess:

• Experience in workforce management within the healthcare sector, preferably with a focus on medical staff or senior medical workforce management.
• Strong attention to detail, with the ability to manage complex administrative tasks such as recruitment, credentialing, and contracting for senior medical staff.
• Experience with regulatory requirements, including professional registration with AHPRA, police checks, and working with children checks.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage competing demands in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with clinical and non-clinical teams and external stakeholders.
• A commitment to quality care and Eastern Health’s values of respect, safety, partnering in care, and continuous learning.
• Familiarity with relevant systems and databases, such as Cgov and SAP, and a keen interest in developing and improving systems for workforce management.
• Highly developed interpersonal and leadership experience
• A strong commitment to high quality care
• The ability to work as part of a diverse team
• Excellent communication and organisational skills

Healthcare workers are strongly recommended to follow COVID vaccination recommendations provided in the Australian Immunisation handbook (based on ATAGI advice). Seasonal vaccination against influenza is a mandatory requirement of this role and an offer is conditional on this being up to date prior to employment.
