About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic grade 3 occupational therapist to join our team. This role will primarily be working with infants and their families within newborn services at Box Hill Hospital and Angliss Hospital. The successful applicant will have clinical expertise in neonatal care and/or developing knowledge and skills in this area. Knowledge and experience in Infant assessments including Prectyl General Movements, HNNE, HINE and Bayley Scale of Infant Development would be viewed favourably. As a senior clinician, you will provide evidence-based assessment and intervention, while playing a key role in the development of clinical services. You will contribute to service innovation, and support team growth through supervision and guidance.
About you
To be successful in this role you will possess:
- B. App Sc (OT), B. Occupational Therapy, MOT prac or recognised equivalent.
- Full Registration held with Occupational Therapy Board of Australia (AHPRA).
- Member of OT Australia (or eligibility for membership).
- Current Victorian Driver’s License.
- Minimum seven years clinical OT experience
- Demonstrated clinical experience in paediatric occupational therapy and/ or neonatal care
- Demonstrated best practice in assessment and intervention, including evidence of advanced clinical skills and family centred practice.
- A clear understanding of Occupational Therapy Service strategic priorities within a large, healthcare network.
- Well developed leadership skills.
- Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills to promote teamwork, and a proven ability to relate effectively to people of diverse backgrounds.
- Demonstrated participation in professional development relevant to the position.
- Established skills in organisation, planning and priority setting.
- Demonstrated ability to evaluate and modify service delivery to foster innovation and evidence based practice.
- Well-developed understanding of professional codes of conduct and ethical practice.
- Sound computer skills
Healthcare workers are strongly recommended to follow COVID vaccination recommendations provided in the Australian Immunisation handbook (based on ATAGI advice). Seasonal vaccination against influenza is a mandatory requirement of this role and an offer is conditional on this being up to date prior to employment.
