About the role

A unique opportunity exists for an experienced Musculoskeletal Physiotherapist to join our advanced practice team in an exciting and dynamic role.

Once credentialed, as an AMP in the ED you will manage a musculoskeletal case load as a primary contact clinician in the Emergency Department, which includes soft tissue injuries, fractures/dislocations and spinal pain. The AMP in ED works closely with ED medical and nursing staff and also supports other physiotherapists in the ED and the broader musculoskeletal physiotherapy team. The current vacancy requires both weekday and weekend availability, with the opportunity to work at one or across the 3 Eastern Health ED sites (Box Hill, Maroondah and Angliss Hospitals). Credentialed AMP ED staff will be favourably considered, but this is not essential.

There is also an opportunity for additional hours for AMP staff who are credentialed in OAHKS or Physio-led Orthopaedic Screening Clinics (Shoulder, Lower Limb).

As the successful applicant, you will be robustly supported in your ongoing development by the Grade 4 Musculoskeletal Clinical Lead, with peer support from a team of experienced AMP clinicians.
