About the role

We are seeking a Grade 3 Social Worker to join our Allied Health team in a 0.6 EFT fixed-term leave relief/backfill position until 16 August 2027. Based primarily at Peter James Centre, this role provides the opportunity to work across a range of inpatient services and Eastern Health sites, supporting teams during periods of staff leave.

This is an excellent opportunity to broaden your clinical experience, develop leadership capabilities and work across diverse programs while operating at a senior level. You will provide social work services across a variety of bed-based wards, with the support of experienced Senior Social Workers and a dynamic Allied Health department. The role offers exposure to diverse clinical settings, opportunities for professional growth and professional development.

What you’ll bring

• Eligibility for membership of the Australian Association of Social Workers.
• Advanced social work, leadership and management skills as evidenced by seven or more years of Social Work experience.
• The ability to work effectively both as part of a diverse team and autonomously
• Excellent interpersonal skills including demonstrated flexibility, proficient negotiation and communication skills.
• Excellent risk assessment and conflict resolution skills.
