About the role

We are seeking a qualified Sonographer to join our comprehensive ultrasound service in a full-time, 12-month parental leave cover position. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to broaden their clinical expertise while working in a genuinely diverse and rewarding hospital environment.

As part of a supportive and collaborative team, you'll gain exposure to complex hospital-based imaging, work alongside experienced colleagues, and benefit from ongoing mentoring and professional development opportunities.

Rotating across our sites, you will perform a diverse range of studies including:

• General, breast, musculoskeletal and vascular ultrasound
• Obstetric and gynaecological ultrasound, including high-risk
• Paediatric imaging
• Interventional procedures
• Advanced and specialist imaging, including contrast-enhanced ultrasound (CEUS), renal, dialysis access and transplant studies

About you

To be successful in this role you will possess:

• Current ASAR registration.
• Postgraduate qualification in Ultrasound (or completing in 2026).
• Demonstrated competency across a range of ultrasound modalities.
• Strong commitment to patient-centred, high-quality care.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Interest in ongoing learning, teaching, and service improvement.

Healthcare workers are strongly recommended to follow COVID vaccination recommendations provided in the Australian Immunisation handbook (based on ATAGI advice). Seasonal vaccination against influenza is a mandatory requirement of this role, and an offer is conditional on this being up to date prior to employment.
