East Metro & Murrindindi Local Health Service Network (LHSN)

Victoria’s Local Health Service Network is a partnership with Alexandra District HealthEastern HealthSt Vincent’s Hospital Melbourne, as well as Yea & District Memorial Hospital, are now part of the East Metro & Murrindindi Local Health Service Network (LHSN). Each health service will retain its individual identity, however this new Network will strengthen collaboration, increase access, and improve health outcomes for our community.

 

About the role

As part of an exciting new pilot project, Eastern Health, as part of the LHSN is welcoming clinicians who are interested in working across the east of Victoria.

 

The LHSN is seeking passionate and motivated Grade 2 Speech Pathologists to join our Allied Health teams across acute, subacute and ambulatory services. In this role, you will provide high-quality, patient-centred assessment and therapy services, collaborating closely with patients, families, and multidisciplinary teams to establish goals and optimise outcomes.

 

You will also play a key role in supervising and mentoring junior staff and students, contributing to a culture of learning and professional excellence. The position offers scope to participate in research, teaching, and quality improvement initiatives, while representing the Speech Pathology discipline within the broader health network. About you

To be successful in this role you will possess:

  • Eligibility for practising membership with Speech Pathology Australia.
  • An established track record of highly developed interpersonal skills.
  • A strong commitment to high quality care.
  • Ability to set relevant rehabilitation short term goals with your clients.
  • The ability to work effectively as part of a diverse team.

 

Healthcare workers are strongly recommended to follow COVID vaccination recommendations provided in the Australian Immunisation handbook (based on ATAGI advice). Seasonal vaccination against influenza is a mandatory requirement of this role, and an offer is conditional on this being up to date prior to employment.
