About the role

 

The eHealth Clinical Analyst (Care@Home / Outpatients) is responsible for providing expert knowledge, support and advice to the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) team and key stakeholders whilst working in a multi-skill, multidisciplinary support team, with the emphasis on care at Home and Outpatients Services.

 

The eHealth Clinical Analyst (Ambulatory) is responsible for supporting, maintaining and facilitating improvements in the use of the EMR at Eastern Health. This includes involvement and support in future EMR implementations.

 

The eHealth Clinical Analyst (Ambulatory) will have strong analytical and communication skills with the ability to understand and interpret Eastern Health workflows.

 

In addition to routine duties, the analyst will play a pivotal role in project initiatives, particularly in rolling out EMR to paper-based areas, ensuring smooth integration and effective adoption by transitioning departments.

 

 

About you

 

To be successful in this role, you will possess:

 

  • Thorough understanding of outpatient and HITH workflows.
  • At least a year’s experience using either:
  • Oracle Health Solutions (PowerChart, FirstNet, SurgiNet, SurgiNet Anaesthesia, Device Integration, ICU, Care Delivery and Medications Management) or another Electronic Medical Record application.
  • Oracle’s logistics Solutions (Fusion / Field services).
  • Experience and a record of success in liaising and communicating with key project stakeholders at all levels, with effective stated outcomes.
  • Sound understanding of healthcare data / reporting and experience with data analytics at various stages of an implementation of a major transformational project
  • Experience in the implementation and operational support of a clinical or health department information system
  • High level of computer literacy, especially with Microsoft Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Visio and Project to produce professional documentation and presentations
  • Proven ability to communicate, both verbally and in writing, in a clear, concise and logical and effective manner.
  • Understanding data analytics and health informatics.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage a number of concurrent tasks and adapt to changes in the work environment.
  • Ability to seek advice and direction from technical experts.
  • Team player
  • Self-motivated and able to work without supervision.
  • Current valid Driver’s License

 

Healthcare workers are strongly recommended to follow COVID vaccination recommendations provided in the Australian Immunisation handbook (based on ATAGI advice). Seasonal vaccination against influenza is a mandatory requirement of this role, and an offer is conditional on this being up to date prior to employment.
