About the role
The Grade 1 Health Promotion Practitioner will support the planning, delivery, and evaluation of primary prevention projects across the Yarra Ranges. Working under the guidance of the Senior Health Promotion Practitioner and as part of a collaborative team, the Grade 1 Health Promotion Practitioner will contribute to the implementation of strategies outlined in Eastern Health’s annual Health Promotion Action Plan.
This is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate to gain hands-on experience in health promotion, develop practical skills, and work alongside experienced professionals in a supportive environment.
Key Responsibilities include:

Assist in the development, implementation, and evaluation of health promotion initiatives.

Support community engagement activities and contribute to stakeholder communications.

Participate in team meetings, training, and reflective practice sessions.

Contribute to the preparation of reports, presentations, and promotional materials.
About You
-
A tertiary qualification in Health Promotion, Public Health, or a related field (recent graduates encouraged to apply).

A foundational understanding of the social model of health and the determinants of health.

Strong written and verbal communication skills.

A willingness to learn, take initiative, and work collaboratively in a team environment.

Basic skills in project planning or evaluation.

Healthcare workers are strongly recommended to follow COVID vaccination recommendations provided in the Australian Immunisation handbook (based on ATAGI advice).
