About the role
An exciting opportunity is available for an enthusiastic and skilled Occupational Therapist to join Eastern Health, working with a predominantly GEM inpatient population with our supportive team at Healesville Hospital. This position will be involved in providing occupational therapy assessment and interventions, and supporting complex decision making and effective discharge planning, with this varied and rewarding caseload. The successful applicant will be involved with supervising students and quality projects and will work closely with the allied health team to provide excellent patient care.
About you
To be successful in this role you should possess:
- AHPRA Registration
- Demonstrated clinical experience in subacute occupational therapy
- Strong interest in aged care
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- Ability to be flexible and change work priorities as required in a dynamic service
- A strong commitment to high quality, values based care
- Strong commitment to collaborative interdisciplinary teamwork and patient centered practice
Healthcare workers are strongly recommended to follow COVID vaccination recommendations provided in the Australian Immunisation handbook (based on ATAGI advice). Seasonal vaccination against influenza is a mandatory requirement of this role and an offer is conditional on this being up to date prior to employment.
