About the role

We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Physiotherapist who is passionate about supporting adults to achieve their health and wellbeing goals within a community setting. In this role, you will deliver high-quality physiotherapy services to adults accessing care through Eastern Health Community Health, Healesville Hospital and Yarra Valley Health, including outreach and remote sites. Services are provided through a combination of individual consultations and group-based programs.

 

As part of the Health & Ageing Team, you will work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary environment, contributing to the delivery of person-centred care. This role also offers the opportunity to support the development of Allied Health Assistants and undergraduate students through clinical supervision, while further enhancing your own clinical and leadership skills.

 

We are currently recruiting for two positions:

  • Temporary part-time working 28 hours per week until 30 April 2027
  • Temporary full-time with a monthly ADO, commencing 5 October 2026 through to 1 October 2027

About you

To be successful in this role you will possess:

  • Current physiotherapist registration with AHPRA.
  • Advanced clinical skills in managing a complex caseload and comprehensive discharge planning using a client-centred approach.   
  • Broad clinical experience encompassing diverse client presentation, in particular demonstrated experience in field of gerontology including falls and balance, chronic disease management and common musculoskeletal conditions.   
  • A strong commitment to high-quality care.
  • The ability to work as part of a diverse team. 
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills. 

 

Healthcare workers are strongly recommended to follow COVID vaccination recommendations provided in the Australian Immunisation handbook (based on ATAGI advice). Seasonal vaccination against influenza is a mandatory requirement of this role, and an offer is conditional on this being up to date prior to employment.
