About the role
We are looking for an experienced Occupational Therapist who is passionate about working with adults in the Community. The Senior OT will provide expert clinical occupational therapy services to adults receiving services at Eastern Health Community Health, Healesville Hospital and Yarra Valley Health, utilising both individual and group therapy models.
This position sits within the Health & Ageing Team and presents opportunities to work within a multidisciplinary team as well as provide clinical supervision to a small team of Occupational Therapists, allied health assistants and undergraduate students.
You will:
- Work with the Team Leader and other senior professionals to guide and coach the operational and professional performance of the team.
- Ensure key performance indicators and targets are achieved.
- Demonstrate an ability to develop allied health individuals and teams and build a positive team culture.
- Promote an integrated service that is consistent with the missions and values of Eastern Heath.
To be successful in this role you will possess:
- Qualifications as per Key Selection Criteria
- Current registration with AHPRA
- Highly developed interpersonal and leadership experience
- A strong commitment to high quality care
- The ability to work as part of a diverse team
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- Experience with MAC/CHSP, SWEP registration, NDIS reports (desirable)
Healthcare workers are strongly recommended to follow COVID vaccination recommendations provided in the Australian Immunisation handbook (based on ATAGI advice). Seasonal vaccination against influenza is a mandatory requirement of this role and an offer is conditional on this being up to date prior to employment.
