About the role

 

An exciting opportunity exists for an appropriately experienced Administration Assistant / Reception to work at Yarra Ranges Health.  The posiiton provides key support for service delivery through reception, theatre and oncology.  The successful applicant will be responsible for the provision of high quality professional service to consumers, their families, carers and staff. 

Duties may include but are not limited to managing reception, telephone and email enquiries, timely data entry, records management, ordering and maintaining stock and supplies and a broad range of administrative tasks as required.

  • Excellent communication, multitasking and organisational skills
  • Ability to work autonomously
  • Demonstrated understanding of medical terminology and previous experience in the healthcare industry.
  • Proficient with Outlook, Word and Excel.  

 

Healthcare workers are strongly recommended to follow COVID vaccination recommendations provided in the Australian Immunisation handbook (based on ATAGI advice). Seasonal vaccination against influenza is a mandatory requirement of this role and an offer is conditional on this being up to date prior to employment.

Those that are offered and/or start between January and April do not require an up to date vaccination for Influenza to progress providing they are aware of its requirement later in the year. Those that are offered and/or start between May and December require the up to date Influenza vaccination prior to offer.
