About the role

This position is responsible for facilitating the flow of patients through Eastern Health Lilydale via main reception, oncology and theatre.  Duties include but are not limited to, responding to telephone and counter enquiries, receive and administer bookings, record and update records, receive payments, order stock and carry out registration, discharge and admission processes for patients.

To be successful in this role you will possess:

  • A high level of administrative and keyboard skills, including knowledge of common office computer applications.
  • Demonstrated commitment to quality improvement
  • Flexible availability to cover changing rosters
  • Well developed interpersonal skills
  • A strong commitment to high quality care
  • The ability to work as part of a diverse team
  • Excellent and timely communication and organisational skills

Healthcare workers are strongly recommended to follow COVID vaccination recommendations provided in the Australian Immunisation handbook (based on ATAGI advice). Seasonal vaccination against influenza is a mandatory requirement of this role and an offer is conditional on this being up to date prior to employment.
