About the role
We are seeking a skilled and passionate Lactation Consultant to join our expert team at the Yarra Ranges (Lilydale) site. This part-time position offers 3 days per fortnight (0.3 EFT) and provides an exciting opportunity to work in an outpatient setting, supporting women during the antenatal and postnatal periods.
As part of a dedicated team of Lactation Consultants across three Eastern Health sites (Box Hill, Angliss, and Yarra Ranges), you will provide high-quality breastfeeding education and support to families. While you will be part of a larger team, you will also have the autonomy to manage your caseload and deliver care independently.
About you
To succeed in this role, you will possess the following:
- IBCLC Qualification: You are an accredited International Board-Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC).
- Autonomous Work Style: Able to work independently and manage your own caseload while being part of a supportive team.
- Communication & Time Management Skills: Excellent communication skills to educate and support families, with strong organisational skills to manage time effectively.
- Experience: A proven track record of providing safe, family-centred maternity care.
- Commitment to Eastern Health Values: A dedication to delivering high quality care, in line with Eastern Health's values and clinical guidelines.
- AHPRA Registration: You have current AHPRA registration
Healthcare workers are strongly recommended to follow COVID vaccination recommendations provided in the Australian Immunisation handbook (based on ATAGI advice). Seasonal vaccination against influenza is a mandatory requirement of this role and an offer is conditional on this being up to date prior to employment.
