About the role
Community Rehabilitation is a time-limited, goal-based program where our people work with clients, their carers and our interdisciplinary team to maximise health, functional independence and community participation. The workload will incorporate both home and centre-based activity inclusive of leading group programs which may include aquatic physiotherapy.
As a Grade 2 Physiotherapist in the Community Rehabilitation Program, you will be responsible for managing a mixed caseload of neurological, musculoskeletal and general rehabilitation clients in addition to non-clinical portfolios and responsibilities.
You will have sound clinical skills to provide excellent client care across neurological, musculoskeletal and general rehabilitation, and an ability to assess and manage psychosocially complex clients with the support of the interdisciplinary team. This position also includes a role in the supervision, mentoring and support to students and junior staff. As a key leadership figure within the team, you will help set the standard for evidence-based practice, high-quality care and clinical excellence. The ability to work autonomously in the community setting is essential.
To be successful in this role you will possess:
- Current Physiotherapy registration with AHPRA.
- Advanced clinical skills in managing a complex neurological caseload and comprehensive discharge planning using a client centered approach.
- Broad clinical experience encompassing diverse patient presentation.
- Previous clinical experience working in an aligned clinical environment.

- Experience in supervision of staff and/or students
- Demonstrated ability to introduce innovative practice.
- Commitment to improving own practice and undertaking quality and research activities.
