Eastern Health

Eastern Health is one of Melbourne’s largest public health services. We provide a range of emergency, surgical, medical and general healthcare services and have a proud history of serving a diverse community.

Our Employee Value Proposition is “Being a part of Eastern Health means belonging to a welcoming team of healthcare experts”.

This statement aligns with our promise to our communities, patients, consumers and staff that we will be HEALTHIER TOGETHER. Bolder than a vision for the future, our promise calls us to action. We know that working together is the only way we can achieve what is necessary for a healthier future.

About the role

An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced and enthusiastic Practice Nurse to join our friendly team at the Healesville GP Clinic. This vital role supports the delivery of high-quality, patient-centred primary healthcare services alongside our dedicated General Practitioners and multidisciplinary team.

Your work will help improve the health outcomes of individuals and the wider community by providing evidence-based care, chronic disease management, immunisation services, health assessments, wound care, and patient education. You’ll also play a key part in supporting continuous quality improvement initiatives and enhancing data management and recall systems.

About you

You’re a compassionate, motivated nurse with a strong commitment to providing high-quality care and contributing to an inclusive, positive team environment.

To be successful, you will have:

  • Bachelor of Nursing or equivalent, with current AHPRA registration
  • Minimum 3 years post-registration experience, ideally in a GP practice or community health setting
  • Current immunisation certification (or willingness to complete)
  • Strong clinical, communication, and organisational skills
  • A collaborative approach to multidisciplinary team care
  • A commitment to continuous professional development
  •

Healthcare workers are strongly recommended to follow COVID vaccination recommendations provided in the Australian Immunisation handbook (based on ATAGI advice). Seasonal vaccination against influenza is a mandatory requirement of this role and an offer is conditional on this being up to date prior to employment.
