About the role

Based with Turning Point's Eastern Treatment Service, this unique and exciting position will be based across our Eastern sites (Box Hill or Ringwood), with one day at the Yarra Ranges MHW Local in Lilydale. The role will be adjusted according to applicant and may involve working in outpatient settings such as our opioid pharmacotherapy clinic, or with co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders as part of The Hamilton Centre.
Turning Point is a statewide clinical service and is working towards being a centre of excellence in clinical, research and workforce and education domains in the alcohol and other drug sector. We are the largest AOD service in the State and unique in having the three pillars of clinical care, research and education, and we are proud to be part of Monash University and Eastern Health.
This clinical role may also require some stakeholder engagement, teaching and contribution to audits, support of inpatient staff and our services in bed-based units. One day of this 3 day position will be located at the Yarra Ranges Mental Health and Wellbeing Local in Lilydale, an innovative model utilising peers and professionals to support high prevalence moderate acuity mental health issues.
About you
The successful applicant will be:
- Skilled in communication and writing
- Open to new models of providing care
- Able to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team.
- Flexible and prepared to work in multiple settings
- Experience in working in public health network settings is desirable
- The position is currently vacant. The successful applicant will be issued a 12 month contract, although this may be extended
- Applicants will have Fellowship of the RACP Chapter of Addiction Medicine (FAChAM) OR have FRANZCP and certification in addiction psychiatry.
