Spectrum

Spectrum specialises in personality disorder and complex trauma. Spectrum is a centre of clinical excellence for personality disorder and the statewide specialist personality disorder service for Victoria, funded by the Department of Health and provided by Eastern Health. We provide direct clinical care for people with complex and or severe personality disorder, secondary consultations and second opinions for clinicians working with people experiencing complex trauma or personality disorder. Underpinning these areas are Spectrum’s Workforce Development activity and our Research activities. Spectrum provides leadership and advocacy for appropriate access to evidence based healthcare and other supports for individuals and their carers living with personality disorder across Australia.

 

The role

This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic organisation to support a range of initiatives within Spectrum’s Workforce Development Team. The role is expected to conduct a variety of ongoing administrative tasks within workforce development and the broader Spectrum team. This role will contribute to smooth and effective administrative management of core workforce development activities including those linked to ongoing projects and multiple projects linked to individual grants and projects and assist with marketing of workshops and events.

 

Key Selection Criteria:

Essential:

  • Good organisational skills and high-level attention to detail.
  • Excellent computing skills, including word processing (e.g. Microsoft Office) and database software packages (e.g. Microsoft Access, Microsoft Excel, Survey Monkey, Mailchimp, Eventbrite or similar) and AV presentations (e.g. Microsoft PowerPoint), use of AV equipment and software.
  • Ability to take minutes and produce meeting summaries.
  • Ability to coordinate and organise meetings, seminars and events.
  • Ability to undertake data collection/entry and management.
  • Capacity to work as a member of a team.
  • Well-developed interpersonal skills.
  • Flexible and accommodating approach to work.

Preferable: Experience working with health professionals and lived experience consumers and carers in the mental health sector.

Healthcare workers are strongly recommended to follow COVID vaccination recommendations provided in the Australian Immunisation handbook (based on ATAGI advice). Seasonal vaccination against influenza is a mandatory requirement of this role and an offer is conditional on this being up to date prior to employment.
