About the role 

  

 

We are looking for an enthusiastic, dynamic and skilled administration assistant to work as part of our team, at the Breast and Cancer Centre. 

Eastern Health’s Breast and Cancer Centre is co-located on the Maroondah Hospital site providing multidisciplinary outpatient clinics. The centre is aimed to support EH to improve access to services and treatment for those at risk of or undergoing treatment for Breast and Other cancers. The centre works collaboratively with all services and programs both locally and across Eastern Health and provides care for approximately 20,000 patients per annum.   

 

 

Responsibilities of the role include, but are not limited to:  

 

 

  • Maintaining day to day business function of the Centre, by completing a varied range of specialised administrative tasks 
  • Liaising with members of the multidisciplinary team and relevant community service providers to assist coordinate the delivery specialised care to invdividuals and their families referred to our Centre 
  • Providing administrative support to our clinical teams 
  • Maintaining a high level of customer service 
  • Working as a highly motivated part or a diverse team.  
  • Being a key part of quality improvement activities at the centre

  • Excellent attention to detail 
  • A strong commitment to high quality care 
  • The ability to work as part of a diverse team 
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills 

 

 

Healthcare workers are strongly recommended to follow COVID vaccination recommendations provided in the Australian Immunisation handbook (based on ATAGI advice). Seasonal vaccination against influenza is a mandatory requirement of this role and an offer is conditional on this being up to date prior to employment.
