About the role
Eastern Health’s Breast and Cancer Centre is co-located on the Maroondah Hospital site providing multidisciplinary outpatient clinics. The centre is aimed to support EH to improve access to services and treatment for those at risk of or undergoing treatment for Breast and Other cancers. The centre works collaboratively with all services and programs both locally and across Eastern Health and provides care for approximately 20,000 patients per annum.
The Administration Team Lead Role, requires excellent technical administration and leadership skills. Effective communication with various members of the multidisciplinary team, patients and their families and a proactive mindset is a must. The role of Adminstration Team Lead involves management of competing priorities and complex requests, collaborating and problem-solving to support our teams in providing excellent patient care, in an outpatient setting.
It is nessecary that the successful applicant have a keen eye for service improvement, a passion for process and a dedication to accuracy with all administrative tasks. The role calls for a genuine desire to ensure those you work with feel supported, respected and empowered to achieve their goals.
About you
To be successful in this role you will possess:
- Work Experience as a team leader or supervisor
- Takes initiative and is able to work autonomously
- Demonstrates patient-focused care
- Knowledge of performance metrics, and KPIs
- Excellent digital literacy, not limited to paitent management systems
- Highly developed interpersonal skills and leadership experience
- A strong commitment to high quality care and safe work environments
- The ability to work as part of a diverse team
- Excellent organisation skills
- Proven ability to manage competing priorities, problem solve and work to timelines
- Experience working in an acute healthcare setting
Healthcare workers are strongly recommended to follow COVID vaccination recommendations provided in the Australian Immunisation handbook (based on ATAGI advice). Seasonal vaccination against influenza is a mandatory requirement of this role and an offer is conditional on this being up to date prior to employment.
Those that are offerred and/or start between January and April do not require an up to date vaccination for Influenza to progress providing they are aware of its requirement later in the year. Those that are offerred and/or start between May and December require the up to date Influenza vaccination prior to offer.
