About the role

An opportunity exists for a passionate client focused, reception and administrative assistant with sound knowledge to join our friendly and supportive team on a part time basis. 

Ideally you will have experience in the healthcare environment in a customer facing reception/administration role. As the first point of contact for face 2 face, telephone and email enquiries to both internal and external stakeholders it is essential you strive to achieve optimal outcomes and adhere to the code of conduct, policies and procedures, and Eastern Health values. 

 

About you 

To be successful in this role you will possess:

 

Essential

  • Previous reception and administrative experience in a health service 

  • Advanced telephone & administrative skills 

  • Ability to provide customer service in a friendly and professional manner 

  • The ability to work collaboratively with our clinical teams and a diverse range of health professionals 

  • Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to multitask and priorities workload 

  • Excellent organisational ability, data and computer literacy skills in Microsoft Office One Drive, Word, Excel and Outlook.  

  • A flexible approach and a willingness to work as an effective & supportive team member 

  • Self-motivated and punctual  

  • A strong commitment for high quality care 

 

Desirable 

  • Sound knowledge of data bases, Medical Director, Prac Soft, IPM & CPF 

  • An understanding of Medicare billing in a similar role 

 

Healthcare workers are strongly recommended to follow COVID vaccination recommendations provided in the Australian Immunisation handbook (based on ATAGI advice). Seasonal vaccination against influenza is a mandatory requirement of this role and an offer is conditional on this being up to date prior to employment.
