About the role

We are looking for an enthusiastic Associate Nurse Manager to work within our Acute Adult Inpatient Ward. This unique opportunity will provide you with the capacity to develop your leadership skills in Adult Acute Mental Health, along with being part of a friendly and supportive team environment. 

 

This Role includes:  

  • Working closely with the nursing and medical leadership to ensure the provision of safe and effective recovery-oriented care and reduce restrictive interventions.
  • Availability to work across all shifts.  
  • All nursing positions are supported by a dedicated leadership team, including our Nurse Unit Manager, Clinical Nurse Consultant, Clinical Nurse Manager and Clinical Nurse Educator providing opportunity for growth, development and career advancement.  

 

You will join a highly skilled, multi-disciplinary team who partner to provide the best possible care for our patients. About you 

To be successful in this role you will possess:

  • Current condition-free registration with AHPRA  
  • Post Graduate qualifications in Mental Health Nursing (desirable)
  • Highly developed interpersonal and leadership experience
  • A strong commitment to high quality care
  • The ability to work as part of a diverse team
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills

 

Healthcare workers are strongly recommended to follow COVID vaccination recommendations provided in the Australian Immunisation handbook (based on ATAGI advice). Seasonal vaccination against influenza is a mandatory requirement of this role and an offer is conditional on this being up to date prior to employment.

Those that are offered and/or start between January and April do not require an up to date vaccination for Influenza to progress providing they are aware of its requirement later in the year. Those that are offered and/or start between May and December require the up to date Influenza vaccination prior to offer.
