About the role
Maroondah day oncology provides outpatient care for Cancer patients undergoing anti-cancer and supportive therapy, as well as infusions for Chronic disease managements.
The unit functions Mon-Fri 8:00am to 4:30pm.
As a team leader you will play an important role in the co-ordination and provision of cancer treatments for patients. You will need to step up to the role of Nurse Unit Manger in his/her absence.
About you
To be successful in this role you will possess:
- Minimum 5 years’ Experience in day oncology - leadership role desirable
- Current registration with AHPRA
- Post Graduate qualifications desirable.
- Completed ADAC and CVAD competency.
- Excellent IV cannulation skill
- Ability to co- ordinate and lead the team
- Highly developed interpersonal and leadership experience
- A strong commitment to high quality care
- The ability to work as part of a diverse team
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
Healthcare workers are strongly recommended to follow COVID vaccination recommendations provided in the Australian Immunisation handbook (based on ATAGI advice). Seasonal vaccination against influenza is a mandatory requirement of this role and an offer is conditional on this being up to date prior to employment.
