About the role
Maroondah Hospital Medical Imaging is a friendly, patient-focused department providing a wide range of diagnostic and interventional imaging services in Melbourne's outer east.
Opportunity exists for an experienced individual who is self-motivated, customer focused and possesses well-developed communication skills to lead the Medical Imaging clerical team. The Clerical Supervisor will be responsible for ensuring an efficient and patient-centred Medical Imaging front-of-house. Leading by example, the Supervisor will undertake and oversee a range of duties including examination scheduling, patient and referrer queries, general administrative tasks, staff mentoring and coaching and departmental administrative leadership. The role includes participation in a rotating roster including days, evenings, weekends and on-call duties.
About you
To be successful in this role you will possess:
- Experience leading or working in Medical Imaging
- Excellent customer service skills
- Well-developed communication skills both face to face and over the telephone
- High attention to detail
- Ability to work autonomously as well as within a diverse team
- Ability to lead others
- Flexibility and adaptability to manage pressure within a changing work environment
- Sound organisational and prioritisation skills
- Highly proficient data entry skills
- General computer literacy with standard Microsoft programs knowledge
- Ability to problem solve
Healthcare workers are strongly recommended to follow COVID vaccination recommendations provided in the Australian Immunisation handbook (based on ATAGI advice). Seasonal vaccination against influenza is a mandatory requirement of this role and an offer is conditional on this being up to date prior to employment.
Those that are offerred and/or start between January and April do not require an up to date vaccination for Influenza to progress providing they are aware of its requirement later in the year. Those that are offerred and/or start between May and December require the up to date Influenza vaccination prior to offer.
